Real Life Example of a Periodic Function

One example of a periodic function in real life is a day. The period it takes for earth to rotate on its axis repeats itself at a fixed rate every 24 hours, therefore it is a periodic function. (Sorry this is late Mr. Morris I thought you said we were going to talk about it in class today (Friday)).

Why I love math

Just to be clear, math is not my strong suit. But, there are some reasons why I like it. One, being able to do math in your head is so much easier than having to whip out your calculator every 12 seconds. Second, anything that will help me get my dream score on the ACT is a go with me. And third, if I get a job right now I will most likely have to work a cash register and math is essential to being able to make change fast. So although math isn't my favorite subject, I know that I need it to succeed.
